Snoqualmie Falls is 268 ft (82 m) waterfall on Snoqualmie River between Snoqualmie and Fall City, Washington, USA. There is a nice trail from the observation deck above the falls to the river below the falls.

The hike is a short but steep climb down. The start of the trail down is located in a grassy picnic area. The climb down is 300 vertical feet. On the way down, the trail goes through temperate rainforest with many moss covered trees, giant ferns, and fallen trees. The trail leads down to a powerhouse built in 1912 which is closed off behind a fences. A short board walk leads to another observation deck at the bottom. Visitors can climb down from here and visit the river itself. The climb down isn't "sanctioned", you've got to climb through a railing and then scramble down a few rocks. When the water level is low, there are plenty of people who climb down to get a closer look at the falls.

There are a couple of places to sit on the hike.

Depending on the amount of water coming over the falls, both the top and bottom observation decks can get very moist from spray. In addition, caution should be used at the bottom, the boardwalk has been flooded in the past.
